The media often has inaccurate portrayals of computer science and software engineers. This talk serves to debunk stereotypes and show what real software engineers do. We will explore algorithms and dive into real world applications that might shine light upon how apps like Snapchat or Facebook messaging work with multiple case studies.

Meet the Speaker:

Magdalene was raised in Mountain View and proudly attended Los Altos High School. She pursued a Computer Science degree at UC Berkeley and is now working full time as a software engineer at LinkedIn. In her free time, she leads a book club and tries to cook.
