​Meet Jeremiah Garrido

Jeremiah Garrido has been a Criminalist assigned to the Forensic Biology Unit
of the Santa Clara County Crime Laboratory for over 18 years. His primary duties at the Crime Laboratory have included assisting law enforcement in processing crime scenes for physical evidence, performing Forensic DNA Analysis, bloodstain pattern interpretation, participating in laboratory accreditation assessments and providing expert witness testimony in criminal cases such as homicides, missing persons, cold cases, sexual assault investigations, animal cruelty and property crimes. Additionally, he is a Lecturer of Forensic Molecular Biology at San Jose State University and an Instructor of Forensic Science at various junior colleges. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of New Haven in Connecticut and is a long-standing member of the American Academy of Forensic Science and the California Association of Criminalistics.
