I will talk about research that elucidates the development of the Pacific margin of Laurentia (the name of ancestral North America). Rocks here in California (Death Valley) inform on this history as well as on the global Snowball Earth hypothesis.

Meet the Speaker:

Robert Lopez is a long-time Californian and has earned AA, BS and PhD degrees from Palomar Community College, Cal State Hayward, and UC Santa Cruz, respectively.
