Creating The Future of Digital Money

Technology

This presentation will walk through all the major steps involved in a modern credit card transaction. How money moves from a personal bank account, through numerous industry systems, banks, and intermediaries, to ultimately deposit into a merchant's bank account. These payment systems handle billions of transactions and move trillions of dollars around the world every year. Who makes money off of doing this work? Who pays? Who is in charge and how does it all work? The talk will also cover all the jobs, roles, and opportunities to be found in the industry. From fighting professional fraudsters, to re-imagining modern payment experiences, who are all the people behind the scenes and what career roles might exist in the future?
