Meet the Speaker:
Brian has spent his career helping new energy technologies make the jump from cool idea to something people actually use. He’s worked at tiny start-ups and at some of the biggest companies in the world, figuring out how to turn complicated technology into products that people want.
Brian has helped a pollution monitoring company, and prior to that ran the US side of Evie Networks, a company that builds and operates electric vehicle charging stations. Before that, he worked at Google, where he helped bring Nest smart thermostats into the energy world. His team worked with power companies so that a million homes could automatically save energy when the electric grid needed it most, helping keep the lights on for everyone. He was even named one of the top leaders in home energy management in 2021. Brian spent about 20 years in the solar and storage industry helping to advance new energy technologies.
Over the years, Brian has helped launch dozens of products, from smart home gadgets to software, and helped get start-ups off the ground.
