From rural Spain to Silicon Valley through STEAM
I will tell my journey of from rural Spain, where I was raised by uneducated parents, to Silicon Valley where I have worked as s tech professional for more than 20 years, all thanks to my STEAM education.
Meet the Speaker:
Ethan Hamilton is the founder of Fermat Hamilton Labs LLC. He has more than 20 years of experience building and selling enterprise software in Silicon Valley, where he has worked for numerous industry leading companies and startups; among others Hewlett Packard -including their world-class research organization HP Labs-, TIBCO Software- a Cloud Software Group company-, Cape Analytics -acquired by Moody's- and Virsec. At TIBCO Software he was one of the key architects that led the re-design and implementation of ActiveSpaces, TIBCO’s distributed in-memory data grid. Ethan holds an undergraduate degree from ESIEE-Paris as well Masters and PhD degrees from Stanford University, all in Electrical Engineering. He is the former Chair of the Santa Clara Valley Chapter of the IEEE Information Theory Society.
