LAHS alumnus Kyle Macomber shares how interests in writing, sports, and technology led him to discover programming, help create SwiftUI at Apple, and co-found the AI startup Bitrig. Through stories of finding work he loved and rethinking it as AI changed his field, he’ll explore how engineering skills can open unexpected paths in creativity, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

Meet the Speaker:

Kyle Macomber is the co-founder and CEO of Bitrig, an AI coding startup focused on Apple platforms. Before founding Bitrig, he spent 15 years at Apple, where he co-created and led the development of the SwiftUI user interface framework. He also worked on iMessage and the Swift programming language. A member of LAHS’s class of 2006, Kyle played soccer and baseball and helped run the school newspaper. He entered Stanford intending to study economics, discovered computer science, and has spent his career following his curiosity about what he could build next.
