The Invisible Engine: How Digital Infrastructure Powers Our World
In a world ruled by Tiktok and Netflix, Apple Pay and ChatGPT, digital infrastructure forms the hidden backbone of our everyday lives. In this session, we’ll explore what digital infrastructure is, why it matters, and how our generation can play in role in building a more sustainable, equitable future for the internet.
Meet the Speaker:
Stephanie is currently a 4th year student at the University of California Berkeley, where she is competing her undergraduate studies in Environmental Science and Data Science. As a researcher and research coordinator, her work has primarily focused on the impact of digital infrastructure on the environment and community.
Most recently she collaborated with faculty and industry professionals in developing the UC Berkeley Center for New Media’s Certificate in Global Digital Infrastructure - the world’s first curriculum for digital infrastructure.
