The typical example of game theory (GT) is about two prisoners' dilemma - their individual punishment varies depending on if one or the other confesses, both confess, or neither confess. How does GT explain information leaks from the White House? How can it be used to design game software? Can GT apply to decisions about dating? Can it help me win at Fantasy sports? This talk will introduce the theory and then show you how it is actually much more!

Meet the Speaker:

Joining Pepperdine University in 1998, Bob has degrees in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA, and a PhD in Management Science. His prior industry experience included engineering, operations, and project management positions with U.S. Steel, General Dynamics, and Abbott Laboratories. At Pepperdine Graziadio, he has served in a variety of administrative and service roles while teaching in both the Decision Sciences and Information Technology disciplines across all of its programs. He recently served on the Board of Directors for the Decision Sciences Institute as Vice President of Information Technology.
