Can we use proteins to treat diseases?

Science
Proteins and their interactions with one another and also with other molecules (e.g. DNA, RNA) mediate biology at a molecular level leading to health and disease. Proteins can be followed in the body and used to predict disease. They can also be used as treatments. Antibodies, a type of protein, are used to treat many diseases. We will review the role of antibodies in the immune system and how that can be experimentally engineered into treatments.
