The talk will discuss how unmanned satellites, locally designed and built, have provided profound support for our national security from the Cold War to the present. Some history of satellites and how they work will be included. Examples and stories come from the speaker’s 25 years of experience in the Space Division of Lockheed Martin Company in Sunnyvale, California.
Meet the Speaker:
The speaker has been involved in the design, construction, testing, launch, and on-orbit operation of unmanned satellites for 25 years at Lockheed Martin Company in Sunnyvale, California. He has also taught mathematics for 10 years at Santa Clara University.
