Marissa Yanez

Marissa is responsible for leading the Developer Circles program in Latin America to connect and empower developers through offline and online communities. Build ecosystem and community relationships and partnerships to support the launch and operations of 12 developer communities throughout Latin America with nearly 10,000 members. She previously founded and led a nonprofit that has served 800+ under-resourced students from low-income backgrounds through comprehensive summer and after-school computer-science education programs. Built partnerships with local school districts, tech companies, local government agencies, universities and community organizations to implement and operate holistic education programs in Mexico, Ghana, East Palo Alto and Mountain View. Empoder GIrls Code programs have more than tripled the representation of under-resourced girls in AP Computer Science classes in MVLA high-schools.
